But after observing Bitcoin's evolution over the years, I came to a different conclusion.
The real story isn't found in the daily price movements.
It lies in understanding where Bitcoin is on its long-term journey.
That realization inspired me to write The Five Circles of Bitcoin, one of the three books I recently released.
Instead of asking, "What will Bitcoin do tomorrow?", the book asks a much bigger question:

Each circle represents a significant stage in Bitcoin's maturity and adoption.
The progression is based on a simple multiplier of approximately three times the previous circle.
Circle One
From $0 to approximately $20,000
This was Bitcoin's pioneering era.
An experimental technology evolved into a globally recognized digital asset.
Many people first heard about Bitcoin during this period.
Circle Two
$20,000 to approximately $60,000
Bitcoin moved beyond early adopters.
Institutional investors entered the market.
Corporate treasury adoption began.
Global awareness expanded dramatically.
Circle Three
$60,000 to approximately $180,000
This is the phase Bitcoin is currently navigating.
Rather than being defined solely by speculation, this stage is increasingly shaped by institutional participation, infrastructure development, regulatory evolution, and broader market acceptance.
Whether Bitcoin moves smoothly or experiences periods of volatility, this circle represents an important phase in its continued maturation.
Circle Four
$180,000 to approximately $540,000
If Bitcoin reaches this stage, it would likely reflect substantially broader global adoption, deeper institutional integration, and increasing recognition as a major financial asset.
Circle Five
$540,000 to beyond $1 million
The fifth circle represents the culmination of the framework.
Crossing the one-million-dollar threshold would symbolize Bitcoin's emergence as a mature global monetary asset under this model.
Whether, when, or how this occurs depends on many economic, technological, and regulatory factors, but the framework provides a way to think about that long-term possibility.

Each circle reflects a broader transformation.

Why I Wrote This Book
